These Terms & Expectations set clear boundaries, protect the experience for everyone onboard, and outline exactly what is and is not included with your LoveLit Cruise ticket. By booking, you agree to these terms.

1) What Your Ticket Includes

​

Your LoveLit Cruise ticket includes:

• Access to the Welcome Party

• Access to panels and/or shows scheduled by the LoveLit Cruise team

• One (1) book signing session

• Group dinners coordinated by LoveLit Cruise

  • Specific author seating at dinners is not guaranteed

• Access to LoveLit Cruise–hosted activities and programming

• One (1) limited-capacity author experience (type not guaranteed; assigned based on availability, and first-come, first-served sign-ups)

• Access to limited-capacity crafts and book clubs (first-come, first-served)

• Virgin Voyages inclusions: base cruise fare, taxes/fees, gratuities, classic Wi-Fi, essential drinks, basic dining, and Virgin Voyages onboard activities

• A LoveLit Cruise swag bag with LoveLit Cruise–branded merchandise

  • Specific swag items are finalized closer to sailing and are not guaranteed

Scheduling notes

• Programming is mostly non-overlapping, but some LoveLit Cruise events may overlap with each other and/or with Virgin Voyages activities.

2) What Your Ticket Does NOT Include:

Your ticket does not include:

• Alcohol or bar tabs

• Sailor Loot

• Spa services

• Specialty dining venues

• Shore excursions

• Casino play

• Shopping onboard

• Specialty coffee, teas, or fresh-pressed juices

• Flights, pre/post-cruise hotels, transfers, or travel insurance

• LoveLit Cruise merch store items (e.g., apparel)

• Author books

• Shipping services onboard

3) Author Access & Interaction (Boundaries)

Included

• Access to authors in panels, group settings, signings, and casual mingling at LoveLit Cruise–hosted events

• Informal, chance encounters may occur but are never guaranteed

Photos & autographs

• Selfies/photos with author consent

• Autographs during the designated signing session only

  • Maximum two (2) books per author

  • Books may be purchased from the author or brought onboard

Not included / not guaranteed

• 1:1 private time with authors

• Guaranteed informal time outside scheduled events

• Private meals with authors

• Any expectation that authors are “on duty” during personal time

Privacy & conduct

• Respect author privacy if they dine outside group dinners

• No private room visits, no pressuring for personal time, no unsolicited DMs

• All interactions must follow the LoveLit Cruise Code of Conduct

4) Swag, Merch, Books & Donations

​

• Every attendee receives a LoveLit Cruise swag bag (items vary by year)

• Author books and merch store items are purchased separately

• Publishers/authors may donate items (including ARCs) at their discretion

  • Availability, quantity, and distribution are not guaranteed

  • Acceptance of ARCs means you agree not to resell for profit

• Some workshop/craft materials are provided; supplies vary

• No shipping services onboard; attendees transport items off the ship

5) Accessibility (LoveLit Cruise Events)

• Mobility-related accommodations for LoveLit Cruise–hosted events are available upon request

• Requests must be submitted in advance

• Ship-hosted accessibility follows Virgin Voyages policies

6) Programming, Authors & Itinerary Changes

​

• Authors, events, schedules, and docking locations are not guaranteed

• Changes may occur due to ship operations, weather, illness, or emergencies

• The ship’s captain has final authority

• Programming is subject to change without refund

• Safety of sailors and crew is the top priority

7) Excursions

​

• Shore excursions are not included

• Availability and terms are set by the tour operator

• LoveLit Cruise is not responsible for excursion changes/cancellations

8) Cancellations, Transfers & Insurance

​

• Deposits are non-refundable

• Transfers after final payment may be allowed case-by-case, subject to availability and a fee

• No transfers within 30 days of sailing

• Travel insurance is highly recommended

​

9) Code of Conduct & Enforcement

​

• All attendees must follow the LoveLit Cruise Code of Conduct

• Violations may result in loss of access to LoveLit Cruise events without refund

• Serious violations of Virgin Voyages’ Code of Conduct may be reported and can result in removal from the ship in a foreign port

• LoveLit Cruise is not responsible for monetary loss due to removal or restricted access

• Conduct decisions by LoveLit Cruise are final

10) Missed Boarding (“All Aboard”)

​

• If you miss the ship’s all-aboard time in port, LoveLit Cruise is not responsible for costs to rejoin the ship

11) Communication Channels

​

• Updates and announcements will be shared via the official LoveLit Cruise channels designated for the sailing (e.g., app/Discord).

• Attendees are responsible for staying up to date.

12) Acknowledgment

​

By booking, you acknowledge you’ve read and agree to these Terms & Expectations, including all inclusions, exclusions, boundaries, and policies above.
