What is the LoveLit Cruise™?
LoveLit Cruise is a boutique romance readers convention at sea.
Think your favorite bookish event—but intentionally smaller, more personal, and set on a luxury cruise. You’ll connect with readers, authors, and influencers through panels, signings, themed events, and shared experiences—all while on vacation.
How can I meet authors and influencers?
Connection is at the heart of LoveLit.
Beyond the signing event, you’ll meet authors through panels, games, small-group experiences, and social events. And since we’re all sailing together, there are plenty of natural opportunities to connect throughout the trip.

Will there be swag?
Yes, and it’s always a highlight. We curate exclusive, high-quality swag just for our sailors.

I’m an influencer. How can I get involved?
We’ll be launching our Sailor Hype Squad for 2027. Join the newsletter for details and application info.

I’m coming solo. Will I meet people?
Absolutely. Many of our sailors come solo.
You’ll get access to our event app before sailing to start connecting early, plus our book club, Facebook group, and Solo Sailors community to meet people ahead of time (and even find a roommate if needed).

How much is scheduled vs. free time?
It’s flexible, you can do as much or as little as you’d like.
We offer programming throughout the sailing, with lighter scheduling during port days so you can enjoy excursions or relax onboard.
Are there spaces to relax or hang out?
Yes. The Scarlet Lady has plenty of lounges, quiet corners, and outdoor spaces, perfect for socializing or curling up with a book.

Is there an anti-harassment policy?
LoveLit Cruise is proud to foster an inclusive, caring, and comfortable atmosphere for our attendees, authors, vendors, and staff. We maintain a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for harassment of any kind. Harassment or discrimination will result in warnings or immediate loss of the event entry wristband and being reported to Virgin Voyages without a refund. Some examples of harassment include, but are not limited to, offensive or unwanted verbal comments and/or physical gestures, physical assault, unwanted sexual comments or gestures, stalking, inappropriate and unwanted physical contact or attention. Some examples of discrimination include but are not limited to, disability, appearance, religion, race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender presentation, sexual orientation, and/or citizenship. Booking a voyage on the LoveLit Cruise also constitutes acceptance of Virgin Voyages Sailor Conduct Policy. Determination of a violation of these policies is at the sole discretion of the LoveLit Cruise staff or representatives.
Will there be group excursions?
Yes. A curated group excursion will be available to booked sailors for an additional cost.

Is there a pre-cruise hotel?
Yes. We’ll offer a hotel block for attendees, with booking details shared after you reserve your cabin. Pre and post hotels are not included.
Are there group dinners?
Yes, group dinners are planned for nights 2, 3, and 4.
You’re always welcome to opt out if you prefer a more flexible evening.

What if I don’t book an excursion?
It’s a great time to enjoy the ship’s amenities while others are exploring ashore. I highly recommend checking out the spa, which is often running port day specials. The Beach Club at Bimini is also included for all sailors.

Why do the conference events start in the morning?
We work with the ship and around their pre-planned activities and shows. We have to book the Manor, where the panels/shows are located, when they don't have shows or parties. The only time it is available to us is the morning.

What if my partner isn’t into romance books?
No problem. One of the best things about sailing with Virgin Voyages is the wide variety of activities available, there’s something for everyone.
I’m a vendor, can I participate?
We will not have vendors for the 2027 sailing due to space limitations onboard.

I’m an author, can I apply?
LoveLit Cruise is intentionally intimate, which means very limited capacity for authors.
Author applications for 2027 are now open. Please apply here
