What is the LoveLit Cruise?

The LoveLit Cruise is a luxury cruise and romance readers convention at sea!

Imagine your favorite land-based readers convention but purposefully scaled down to be an intimate affair.

You will have the opportunity to connect with other romance readers, and meet authors and influencers all while enjoying a luxury sea vacation.

You can expect book signings, author panels, Q&A sessions, theme nights, parties, games, crafts, author-led experiences, meetups, new friends, and more!

What opportunities will there be to meet authors and other content creators? 

The LoveLit Cruise will be packed with opportunities to meet authors and creators. In addition to the signing event, there will be panels, fun games, small group activities, and author/creator-hosted social events. Plus, you are on vacation with them aboard the cruise! Every day there will be an agenda of what activities are taking place so that you know where to be and when to spend time with your fellow readers, authors, and creators!

Will there be a swag bag? 

YES!! We are so excited for you to see what we have put together!

 

I don't know anyone. How can I get connected? 

We have partnered with the Whova app to make the conference enjoyable for everyone. You will have access 30 days out and can start connecting with other readers before you even board. Also, be sure to join our monthly book club and Facebook groups to start making friends now!

How much group event time will there be vs time on your own? 

This is entirely up to you! There will be group activities going on every day throughout the day and evening. When we are in Playa del Carmen, the main activities will primarily be excursions to explore the destinations, but there will be “low-key” activities aboard for those who don’t want to explore. At the Beach club at Bimini, the activities will be at the included Beach Club. On our sea day there will be activities aboard all day long.

 

Will there be a place to gather/hang out? 

There are many comfortable lounges and and outdoor areas aboard the Valiant Lady! The great part of cruising is the ability to have many places to gather, or easy access to a lounge chair to read the day away. The choice is yours!

We are currently working on integrating a feature that will help you meet your fellow bookies! Stay tuned for more!

 

Will we be organizing group excursions or ways for us all to go together? 

Yes! There will be group excursions organized! More information on that as we get closer to the cruise. Excursions are available for an additional fee.

 

If you don't go on shore excursions, will there be events going on during that time?

There will be some low-key gatherings and activities aboard during Cozumel port time. This is also a great time to take advantage of the ship's amenities while many guests are ashore!

My Sailing Partner doesn't like romance books. Will they have other things to do?

YES! The beauty of a cruise is the outstanding number of things to do that suit a wide variety of interests. Please see the Cruise FAQ page for more information.

I'm a Vendor! Can I attend the LoveLit cruise? 

Yes! We have limited spots for vendors. Please fill out a vendor application at this link, and we will follow up if you were selected. Vendors will be required to purchase their own cabin + a $100 vendor fee.
